Spurs team berated for sock cutting habits
Footballers from Tottenham Hotspur have been criticised by their manager Harry Redknapp for indulging in an odd fashion trend.

Harry is reportedly furious that his players are always cutting the feet off their sports socks and covering up the gaps with tape, The Mirror reports.

The Spurs boss has allegedly confronted his team in the dressing room after becoming frustrated at the unusual practice, after a referee warned the players that they should improve their taping so as to not make it obvious.

Footballers are increasingly complaining of the material of football socks, and prefer to train in short tennis socks.

In order to get more grip they are continuing to wear these shorter socks underneath, while the obligatory team legwear is visible from the ankle upwards.

Referees are beginning to tire of the practice however and have warned players not to let their different coloured socks show through.
