Black tights for Natalie

Black tights for Natalie

Soap star Natalie Cassidy opted for an all-black ensemble at the National TV Awards this week, including black legwear.

The EastEnders actress teamed her simple dress, which featured three-quarter length sleeves and a rounded neckline, with some black tights and black heels.

She added a splash of colour with a bold red bag and a slick of fiery lipstick. Her hair was worn in a classic up do and she accessorised with small yet elegant diamond earrings and a silvery bangle.

Natalie's understated outfit was a far cry from many of her fellow attendees, with many women opting for show-stopping floorlength dresses and glittering minis.

Among the best dressed on the night were Abbey Clancey in long orange number and Catherine Tyldesley in a black lace gown which would not have looked out of place at the Oscars. Fearne Cotton also looked stunning in a white and silver vintage-inspired dress and lots of red lipstick.

Diaz dazzles in dark tights in NYC

Diaz dazzles in dark tights in NYC

Cameron Diaz pulled on a pair of dark tights for the opening of a flagship Tag Heuer store in New York on Tuesday.

The 41-year-old combined the black tights with some black shoes and a spotty black and white wraparound dress.

Diaz, who has been a brand ambassador for the Swiss watchmaker since 2012, was on hand to cut the ribbon and officially open the shop.

She is not the first star name to be associated with the brand, following in the footsteps of Tiger Woods, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Maria Sharapova and Uma Thurman among many others.

Diaz has a busy year ahead of her having recently finished filming three movies including a screen adaptation of the stage musical Annie alongside Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhané Wallis.

She also appears in the comedies The Other Woman and Sex Tape, starring Jason Segel, Jack Black and Rob Lowe.

Diaz was last spotted in Ridley Scott's crime thriller The Counsellor back in October as part of an all-star cast that included Michael Fastbender, Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt.

O'Dowd in yellow beanie at Sundance

O'Dowd in yellow beanie at Sundance

Chris O'Dowd decided to keep his head warm in a chilly Park City, Utah on Sunday night as he pulled on a yellow beanie at the premiere of Calvary.

The 34-year-old combined the yellow woolly hat with a black jacket and a navy blue shirt at the Sundance Film Festival event.

Cavalry comes from the pen of John Michael McDonagh and features Brendan Gleeson, who also starred in McDonagh's acclaimed 2011 comedy The Guard.

Gleeson and O'Dowd lead an all star cast that also includes Kelly Reilly ( Sherlock Homes), Aiden Gillan ( The Wire), Dylan Moran ( Black Books), Marie-Josée Croze ( Tell No One) and Domhnall Gleeson ( About Time).

Centred around the story of a priest (Gleeson), whose life is threatened by an angry parishioner hell-bent on taking his revenge against the church, Cavalry has the same small town backdrop as The Guard.

Just like McDonagh's previous work the film's gripping storyline is backed up by a playful, yet subtle use of language an inference that help to make The Guard such a cult hit.

Interesting the concept of an assassinated priest stems from the back story of In Bruges, which also starred Brendan Gleeson and was written by McDonagh's brother Martin.

Presenter Emma Willis pulled on a pair of dark tights as she evicted the first housemate from the Celebrity Big Brother House on Friday night.

The 37-year-old pulled on the black tights with a black overcoat and black and pink striped dress as she sent boxing legend Evander Holyfield packing from the show.

Holyfield, 51, became the first housemate to leave the show this series after being voted out by fellow housemates Lee Ryan and Casey Batchelor, who had spent the previous two days hiding in a secret bolt hole following a fake eviction.

"I thought I'd be loved here, I thought I'd get more votes, but I didn't," he told Willis after his eviction.

Holyfield was nominated for eviction alongside Mail On Sunday columnist Liz Jones, comedian Jim Davidson, Apprentice runner-up Luisa Zissman and American actress Jasmine Waltz.

Both Holyfield and Zissman received the fewest votes from the public meaning that Ryan and Batchelor had to choose which housemate would leave the house.

They both decided to evict Holyfield after Ryan said that he wanted to keep his friend Zissman in the competition.

The flamboyant 64-year-old director combined the green scarf with a pair of sunglasses and a dark suit as he arrived at the event. He later revealed a black polo neck after he removed the scarf inside the auditorium.

While Almodóvar was not nominated for an award this year, he was on hand to present his brother, Agustín, with the Medalla de Oro (Gold Medal) prize for his decorated career as a Spanish film producer.

"The best decision of my career has been to make my brother responsible for the production of my films," Pedro said.

Fernando Franco's debut film La Herida (Wounded) was crowned the Best Spanish Film in 2013, while Marián Álvarez who plays the lead role in La Herida won the Best Actress Award. Eduard Fernández won the Best Actor gong for his role in the television series Todas las mujeres (All the Women).
