Unflattering legwear 'easily avoidable'
Unflattering legwear is unattractive, but very easily avoidable, if women select the right type of hosiery, an expert has asserted.

Writing in the Chicago Style examiner, Jennifer Rifkin suggests that that women are often tempted to squeeze themselves into tight stockings or hosiery in an unflattering shade, when there are plenty of stylish legwear options available for fashion-forward females.

Ms Rifkin suggests women avoid trying to match their skin tones to sheer hosiery, asserting that it "never looks realistic".

Instead she recommends opaque or slightly patterned tights for everyday wear in "tried and true colours" brown, black and grey.

More colourful tights can be a stylish look for braver legwear lovers, she adds.

Recently, another fashion commentator asserted that sheer hosiery is being discarded in favour of more colourful, patterned everyday tights.

Making her remarks in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Elizabeth Wellington adds that even in the workplace sheer stockings are a no-no among style-savvy ladies.
