Sheer hosiery loses out in the style stakes
Another fashion commentator has asserted that sheer hosiery is on its last legs, making way for new legwear trends such as bright tights and knee-high socks.

Making her comments in the Seattle Times, the Elizabeth Wellington notes that modern women do not like to feel constricted by sheer tights, especially as they are barely noticeable.

She adds that opaque tights, or other accessories such as clutch bags and shoes, are used by women to make a fashion statement.

Ms Wellington adds that many women feel pressured into wearing sheer hosiery due to their strict working environments.

However, the style savvy writer notes that flesh-coloured tights are predicted to be a top trend as winter returns, with those with the fashion know-how asserting they will co-ordinate with the season's smooth, tailored look.

Previously, a blogger asserted that pretty ankle socks can be an alternative to hosiery and tights in the warmer months.

Making her comments via online resource Shiny Little Things, Julie notes that these "adorable" forms of legwear come in a variety of colours and patterns.
