Signature legwear may help tennis star to victory
An American tennis player is hoping her signature legwear look will help her be victorious at an upcoming tournament.

Danielle Mitroi is set to take part in the AAU Junior Olympic Games this weekend and will be hitting the court in mismatched socks, according the Detroit News.

For the opening match, she intends to don one plain sock and one stripy sock, but the newspaper speculates she may choose some more outlandish hosiery as she progresses through the competition, suggesting she may opt for polka-dot or tie-dyed legwear.

When questioned about her unusual fashion choices, the ten-year-old, who is ranked second nationally in her age group, said: "I just like to be different."

Meanwhile, golfing star Padraig Harrington recently said that if he could he would wear the same socks he wore to the Carnoustie 2007 at this year's open in a bid to recreate his success, reports the Independent.
