Leslie A Bray of the Examiner noted that many sprays and powders can make the situation worse, so a back-to-basics approach is very much preferred if a person is to succeed.
She explained that by pairing cotton socks
with low or high-top trainers, there will be less chance of any foot-based mishaps.
For women, stockings with cotton on the toes and sole are also a good investment, the expert continued.
Feet in heels, sandals and dress shoes - when worn without socks
with shorts - should never be treated with powders either, Ms Bray added, as this can cause feet to sweat and start the problems up all over again.
According to Embarrassing Issues UK, soaking feet in salt water and modifying a diet to exclude the likes of onions and garlic are also known remedies for foot odour.
