Fearne Cotton is no stranger to controversy, but lately she may have pushed things too far after confessing to an admiration of pairing hosiery with sandals.
In an interview with the Manchester Evening News, she said the Brits have some of the best fashion designers in the world, describing them as "more daring and more eccentric" than their French counterparts.
However, she might meet opposition with some of her claims, even after saying that she would not criticise anybody else for their style of dress.
She told the newspaper: "I actually quite like socks with sandals.
"I might wear them together myself. Although they'd have to be glittery socks and wedge sandals."
In fact, the Radio 1 TV presenter was recently snapped by the Daily Mail rocking more or less that very look, although the newspaper's Kate Melhuish advised against teaming them with cut-off trousers as she did.
