While many hip hop stars launch jeans or trainers, Big Boi from Outkast has taken his creativity in another direction.
The rapper has launched his own sock
range in Atlanta, Georgia, in collaboration with fashion designer Crooks & Castles.
In a recent interview with GQ magazine he said: "I'm the sock king! They've got a cape on the back - that's how I flew here."
He went on to add that his fans should go buy them if they're passing through Antone Street in Atlanta.
Big Boi recently announced that he is to release a new solo studio album in November, which has just undergone a change of title.
The lyricist's forthcoming LP was going to be named Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader, however with its new indie direction this is being changed.
This is because he has recently worked with Modest Mouse and has also been listening to tracks by Lana Del Rey and Little Dragon, which have inspired him to try a new musical direction.
