A new survey has found that dads are more likely to leave their children red-faced because of their embarrassing behaviour.
Specsavers research found that bad fashion sense, a lack of style and a cringeworthy car are some of the top parental faux pas.
While women might be able to get away with knee-high socks
and sandals, this is an absolute no-no for dads, especially if they combine them with dodgy glasses, high waistbands and bad hairdos.
A spokesperson for the opticians said that while fathers might need a little style assistance "what normally embarrasses us in our early years endears them to us later in life".
"So kids need to help dads in designer distress to transform from dodgy to dapper," they recommended.
The firm is currently on the lookout for Britain's least fashion-savvy dad as part of their Dob in your Dad campaign.
