Vancouver underwear run raises cancer awareness
Residents of Vancouver and local celebrities were out in force this weekend to raise awareness and money for cancer care.

Vancouver's seventh annual Underwear Affair Saturday saw crowds of people take part in a charity run wearing nothing but their undies.

Twilight star Charlie Bewley was the first to cross the finish line, beating off over 1,000 other fun runners.

The actor explained to The Province on Sunday: "I literally turned up about half an hour before the race and asked if I could join."

This wasn't the first time that Charlie had helped with the B.C Cancer Foundation, as he also organised the Run For Your Life campaign, raising thousands of pounds for one of his friends who was suffering from lung cancer.

Unfortunately his friend died a week before the run, however it was still completed and the proceeds were donated in her name.
