Sock -loving friends who got together to celebrate their passion for fine footwear have created a gang that's gone global.
From its beginnings in Newcastle, the British Sock Fetish Council (BSFC) now has over 700 members from Australia to Iceland, Russia to America.
And the Council even has a celebrity following too after comedians Alexei Sayle and Harry Hill - along with French footballer Gabriel Obertan - were pictured with BSFC membership cards.
Founder Reuven Fletcher, of Heaton in Newcastle, began by joking about his sock fetish on social media, but discovered he shared interests such as football, music and beer with others and set up the group.
He is now even turning his passion into profit, working with top designers Marko John's to come up with exciting sock styles that are being worn by members all over the world.
Fletcher has designs based on the International Brigade who fought in the Spanish Civil War, as well as more traditional versions in the colours of the BSFC crest.
The group also has also been raising money for the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign, Wimbledon Food Bank and the Checkemlads, which raises awareness about testicular cancer.
