Men 'could embrace tights in the future'
While tights may be seen to firmly belong in a women's drawer, one expert asserts that they may one day be a legwear option for men.

In a report on online fashion resource Fibre2Fashion, Matthew Sorrow notes that the days of fashion stereotypes could be "history", saying men could embrace traditionally feminine style statements, such a tights, scarves and skirts.

"Many women believe that tights were made especially for them and laugh if their partners start to wear them. Those women are wrong," he adds.

The forward-thinking style commentator continues to say that while men used to be the sole wearers of tights in the middle ages, they now only have the option of trousers to keep their legs warm.

In related news, a fashion expert recently questioned whether it is suitable for men to embrace the trend of sandals and socks that many women can be seen sporting.

David Graham, fashion editor at the Toronto Star, noted that some men can carry of the look but the majority have to work hard to avoid looking like a tourist.
