Give tired tights a new lease of life
What is a woman to do when a fashionable new pair of tights can no longer fit in her over-filled hosiery drawer?

Online fashion resource Dolly Mix suggests recycling tired legwear and making way for some fun new styles of patterned tights and colourful socks.

The website notes that there are many uses for last season's styles, stating that they can be filled with lavender and used as fragrant sachets to freshen up the wardrobe, while high denier hosiery can be use to clean mirrors and other shiny surfaces.

In addition, a worn pair of tights can prove to be a first aid essential, with the news provider claiming they make a "great flexible sling".

Fashionistas could even opt to give their old tights a new lease of life as 80s-style arm warmers.

"Wool tights are great for keeping arms warm, while fashion tights such as fishnets or brightly coloured prints are a great accessory to an outfit," Dolly Mix advises.

Meanwhile, according to Guardian style reporter Laura Barton claims that if a pair of fishnet stockings get ripped, style-savvy women could team them with this season's bovver boots for a grungy look.
