Ditch black tights in favour of 'colourful styles'
Why stick to black tights when hosiery is available in all the colours of the rainbow, one blogger has questioned.

Describing tights as a "wardrobe staple", the unnamed author uses online resource Dress You Up to detail the many styles of hosiery available to fashion-conscious females.

The writer notes that brightly coloured tights paired with a plain black outfit or clothes of contrasting shades can be a bold fashion statement.

In particular purple legwear is "the perfect way" to embrace the trend for tights, as is vintage-inspired hosiery, they assert.

Fashionistas with short legs are advised that patterned tights with a vertical stripe can lengthen their pins and make them look shapelier.

A style commentator recently asserted that anyone can wear on-trend legwear if they team it with the right clothes.

Writing for online news resource Stuff, Jane Bolton notes that stylish hosiery such as knee-high socks and colourful patterned tights look good with tunic tops and longer cardigans that disguise figure flaws.
