Two-tone tights are a "new level" in the hosiery style stakes
Fashion tights are heading to a new level next season, according to one fashion commentator. Writing for online resource Glamboulevard, a blogger known as Alice asserts that style-savvy women will be opting for two-tone legwear, as seen on Chanel catwalks in autumn and winter 2008.

The writer notes that couture king Karl Lagerfeld reportedly started this hosiery trend by sending his models down the runway in nude/black monogrammed tights.

She adds that two-tone tights in paisley patterns and swirly styles have been modelled on the pins of fashionistas of late, noting that the new hosiery style is "the ultimate mod-chic which could add a little flare to every outfit".

Previously, fashion bible Vogue lent its support to fashion tights, stating that two-tone legwear is the "epitome of grown-up chic" and classic yet modern.

Meanwhile, Female First magazine advises that they are worn with heavy woollen dresses, Romany embroidery and chunky heels.
