Naked bike rides might be everyone's cup of tea, but this Saturday (June 12th) will see cyclists around the world stripping off to their birthday suits for an event to raise awareness about climate change.
The Team Great Britain event will see riders in Edinburgh cycling through the Meadows in little more than their counterparts, however.Socks
will be used to cover the modesty of the participants after a less than enthusiastic response from the local police, the Scotsman newspaper reports.
Event organiser Giselle Wajdner told the paper that similar events had not much luck in Edinburgh in the past but was hopeful for better success this time around.
"We'll be wearing nipple tassels, socks
, and a couple of other tiny bits and pieces just enough to keep it just within the law," she said.
Team Great Britain Bike Week runs from June 19th to 27th and will see wide range of activities and events designed to get people out on their bicycles to help the environment.Socks make the perfect gift
