Unpaired sock woes addressed by expert
Unpaired socks are regularly judged to be the bane of any laundry routine, particularly when larger families are involved, though one clever guy has solved the problem by using special pegs.

A reader of home advice site Lifehacker - mononymously referred to as Bob - keeps socks paired and assigned.

The system means that in his family of four, he has assigned each of his clan a specifically-coloured peg, with each member attaching the peg to the pair of socks, meaning they are always washed, hung out to dry and returned together.

Speaking to Lifehacker, Bob continued: "The great part is that we no longer have a drawer full of single socks, and the younger family members don't need to ask 'whose socks are these?'".

Furthermore, people know who socks belong to, so they are able to aid with sorting the washing out too.

Jess Cartner-Morley of the Guardian recently complained about socks as a fashion accessory, claiming that it found it particularly tough to decide what to wear on feet when donning trousers.
