Summer is still some way off yet, but one way to banish the cold weather blues is to equip yourself with a few sets of funky tights.
The London School of Economics' student newspaper the Beaver said "almost anything goes" in the coming season's tight trends, from 90s grunge nostalgia with neon fishnets to psychedelic rainbow patterns.
"Bold, heroic and unapologetic; this new generation of tights
seeping through the high street stores are more dangerous than safe and should probably come with a health and safety tag," said the newspaper's Yan Giet.
"This season sees tights take the forefront centrepiece of your outfit, from eclectic to electric."
Recently, deputy prime minister's wife Miriam Clegg was chastised by the Daily Telegraph's fashion reporter Sarah Mower for pairing burgundy tights with a not-quite-matching set of shoes in raspberry shade.
