Manchester United are through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after defeating Olympiakos 3-0 at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
The team certainly pulled their socks up to beat the Greek team after a dismal first round that they lost 2-0.
Sporting their home strip, consisting of a red shirt, white shorts and white football socks they became victorious over Olympiakos thanks to a Robin van Persie hat-trick.
Before the match it was very much up in the air whether they would make it through after a recent spell of poor performances, with many doubting manager David Moyes' strategy.
After the 3-0 win, however, spirits have been lifted within both the team and fans alike. "The way the players responded after Sunday's defeat (was most pleasing)," Moyes said.
"I did say to them on Monday morning that we'd have to win 3-0 and give the crowd something back. The crowds have been incredible. They deserved it. They deserved a good night because we've not given them many good nights this season."
