A sci-fi blockbuster directed by Christopher Nolan has won the Jameson Empire Film Awards' Best Film gong.
Nolan attended the prestigious ceremony at Grosvenor House, London, with Emma Thomas, his wife who is pictured here in black tights and a red dress, and Jessica Chastain.
Chastain stars in Interstellar alongside Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine.
Nolan also won a special Empire Inspiration award honouring the films he has directed, which include Inception, Batman Begins and Memento.
Interstellar beat off the challenge from highly rated movies such as The Imitation Game and Boyhood.
Other winners at the event, which was hosted by James Nesbitt, included Taron Egerton, The Babadook, Paddington and Ralph Fiennes. Egerton burst on to the scene for his performance as Eggsy in Kingsman: The Secret Service.
