A Quantum of Socks: Bond girl helps collection
A Bond girl has helped one Derbyshire woman to expand her unusual collection with a generous gift of her own.

Gemma Arterton, best known for her role in A Quantum of Solace, has donated a pair of leopardskin tights to Audrey Winkler, the curator of a set of celebrity legwear, the Derby Evening Telegraph reports.

The funky tights will join nearly 30 pairs of star-studded socks at Ruddington Framemakers Knitters' Museum, where visitors are invited to match the legwear to the celebrity.

Jenson Button, Andy Murray and Marti Pellow of Wet Wet Wet have also shed their luxury socks in the past to help Ms Winkler grow her collection.

"[Gemma Arterton] is right at the top of the celebrity ladder and we are delighted to receive them," she told the newspaper.

Celebrity legwear also made the news recently when it was revealed that Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich likes to have a member of the road crew pull his socks on for him.
