Socks record 'on the line'
German theme park workers have come up with a novel way of getting into the record books.

Staff at Tripsdrill Amusement Park in Germany are hoping to beat the world record for the longest sock washing line.

People have been asked to donate socks when they come through the gates, even giving up the pairs they were wearing, according to The Local.

A spokesman for the theme park told the news site that "Most are in good condition, but there are also some with holes. It’s very colourful here."

Socks are pegged all along the line, which measures over 2km and will be counted today (Monday 24th).

Other unusual sock world records include the most number of socks worn on one foot, which currently stands at 102.
