Milliner Stephen Jones certainly knows a thing or two about headwear, and has predicted that it won't just be the rich and famous donning the accessories this year.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, he claimed that hats
would be making a huge comeback this year, saying that men go wild for headgear on the opposite sex and if worn correctly they can serve as "lingerie for the face".
Mr Jones explained: "If a woman wears a hat, she always get served first, she always has the door held open for her. It's extraordinary."
The London-based designer has created a brand new range of hats for this season's Jil Sander collection, with his best-ever selling piece being a common beanie with a birdcage netting veil across the front.
He has collaborated with the likes of John Galliano, Giles Deacon and Marc Jacobs and created hats for the British royal family and celebrity fashion icons such as Dita Von Teese.
