An annual charity extravaganza has raised £35,000 thanks to people wearing an array of unusual headgear.
The tenth annual Crazy Hats
walk in aid of the Northamptonshire cancer charity saw 2,400 turn out to take part in the mass walk, the Northampton Chronicle reports.
However, while the amount raised is impressive, the charity is hoping that they can still edge towards the £55,000 raised in total last year.
Charity founder Glennis Hooper urged walkers who are yet to hand in their sponsorship money to do so as soon as possible to help boost funds.
She told the newspaper: "We are really hoping if people are still collecting that they can get their money in soon."
Ms Hooper also thanked everyone for their support and for getting involved in the event, adding "it gives that impetus for us to get going for next year".
