Kenilworth charity makes appeal using hats
A charity campaign from Kenilworth has resorted to unusual measures to encourage extra donations from the public.

The Hats for Headway Day is to take place this weekend to help the Choose Charity Shops campaign raise awareness and funds for people affected by brain injury.

It is encouraging people to wear hats for the day in return for a small donation to charity, Kenilworth Weekly News reports.

Taking part in the day will be Waverley Day Centre, who Malcolm Boote, manager of Kenilworth's Headway, praised for their kind contribution.

"The centre has been incredibly supportive of our shop here in Kenilworth, providing us with regular stock donations, for which we are very grateful," Mr Boote told the newspaper.

He added that he hoped that everyone at the centre had lots of fun on Hats for Headway Day, explaining that by taking part "they'll be helping us to improve life after brain injury".
