A pair of silk bloomer's, allegedly once belonging to the Queen is for sale on eBay.
The luxurious cream underwear
, which has been embroidered with her initial E and a small crown, is currently commanding bids of almost $5,000 (£3,120) according to The Telegraph.
It was allegedly left on a private plane during the Queen's visit to Chile in 1968. However, this has not been confirmed by official sources, and it is not known whether the undergarments are in fact authentic.
Selling the undies is supposedly the estate of Baron Joseph "Sepy" de Bicske Dobronyi, who is a Hungarian-born royal jeweller, aristocrat and pilot.
A fellow pilot is alleged to have found the underwear and passed it on to Dobronyi, who passed away in 2010.
The eBay listing claims that as no official confirmation has been made by Buckingham Palace "it is the buyer's responsibility to do that on their own before the bidding".
