Billy Elliot the Musical could be set for a movie makeover if Elton John gets his way.
Sir Elton announced his hopes for the project after its 10th anniversary ballet-based gala show on Tuesday.
Show producer Sally Greene joined in with the party atmosphere of the London occasion dressed in a pretty blue and sliver dress teamed with black tights .
Sir Elton said there were songs held over from the musical which could be "great" on the big screen. The 68-year-old Sacrifice and Crocodile Rock singer also said he wanted to star as the new movie's eccentric grandmother.
Dozens of current and past cast members, including six lead role characters, performed at the Victoria Palace Theatre-based special birthday performance.
The musical recounts the tale of 11-year-old Billy, who goes against the hopes of his northern working-class roots to become an accomplished ballet dancer.
The Lee Hall-written show has played to 10 million spectators worldwide since opening in May 2015. An earlier film version, starring Jamie Bell, was an Oscar nominee in 2000.
