Footless tights 'more about person than age'
Footless tights are an item which subscribe to the wearer's individual style and personality rather than their age, a fashion critic has said.

LaMont Jones said that hair, shoes and complementary clothes were very important to the overall look of a person and their ability to carry off the fashionable legwear.

He added that, although youthful people carried off the look with more ease, many 50-year-olds looked youthful and were more than welcome to embrace the fashion.

Mr Jones wrote in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: "For example, I can envision a more mature, thin brunette with a short haircut wearing black footless tights with a black turtleneck sweater, a short and fitted black pencil skirt and black booties."

Last week, Phong Luu of the Daily Telegraph said that tights were a great way to spice up a look in the autumn and winter climate.
