Men should look into womens socks if they want a bit more frivolity and colour to choose from, a fashion writer has said.
Complaining about the lack of selection on the average shelf, John Petkovic of the Plain Dealer said that men were more likely to neglect the dressing for their feet as socks
were usually hidden by trousers and shoes.
As a result, he added, the choice was nothing to write home about, with size restrictions hurting his toes until holes formed and made his digits pop out after a couple of wears.
Mr Petkovic said of his attitudes towards future sock-wearing: "This is the dawning of the Sock Liberation Movement - an era where men will burn boring blacks and bland solids and march forward in colours, stripes, little animal patterns."
Last month, stylist with Visual Therapy Sarah Davidzuk said people hoping to get a job needed to wear socks
matching the rest of their clothing at an interview.
