Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has been criticised for her choice of "eye-watering" tights by a national newspaper.
The release of her new book, Ugenia Lavender, was complimented with hosiery that may have been a "subtle way to promote" the tome, according to the Daily Mail.
However, the news provider saw the mismatching fashions as a "faux pas", particularly for someone so famously conscious of her figure.
It explained: "Coloured tights
are notoriously unflattering, even fashionistas who have hailed it the style of the season agree it's something to be left to the supermodels."
The Ugenia Lavender book series features six separate stories detailing the life and times of a "sassy" nine-year-old traveller, exploring the world with her dinosaur consultant father and her mother, a TV presenter.
