Teenagers and young adults should invest in wet-look leggings this season, according to a fashion reporter.
Sarah Mower said the look is only particularly applicable to one age group - 15 to 20-year-olds - but anyone older would likely see the style as borderline revolting.
The reporter said of the phenomenon: "Every fibre of an adult female's being (not to mention thighs) will scream 'No!' at the very thought, but if you're 15 to 20-ish, 'absolutely!'"
However, Ms Mower could not deny that regular leggings
were now a "rampant fashion statement for the daring", costing very little yet complementing a range of ensembles well this winter.
Entertainmentwise recently commented on Paris Hilton's adoption of leggings
, adding that her legs were too bony to carry the look off comfortably.
