Tonight, fundraisers will sleep in cardboard boxes at Old Spitalfields market in London to raise money for the homeless
Tonight, around 450 of Londoners are set to brave the November cold and take part in a mass sponsored sleep out challenge for charity.

Sleepout at Old Spitalfields Market, sponsored by the SockShop's Heat Holder Thermal Socks, is an opportunity to better understand the plight of homeless people in the UK, while also raising money for a great cause.

Participants will sleep in cardboard boxes on the hard cold floor in order to get a little closer to the situation of those they are trying to help.

Each sleeper is asked to raise a minimum of £350 to take part in the event and organisers, youth homelessness charity Centrepoint, are hoping to raise a total of £250,000.

The event will be attended by celebrities such as Loose woman Denise Welch, Radio 1 DJ Sara Cox and comedian Patrick Monahan.
