The leading ladies at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards showed you can't go wrong with an LBD and black tights
Black appeared to be the top choice for leading ladies at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards on Sunday, with several teaming LBDs with black tights.
Hattie Morahan teamed her opaque legwearwith a daring black mini dress with lace panels and a black blazer, accessorised with a black clutch bag.
Olivia Williams opted for a similar look in black tights and a thigh-skimming black dress which featured a large bow at the neckline. She added a splash of sparkle with a silver glittery clutch bag.
Michelle Ryan, Victoria Pendleton and Gemma Arterton also stuck to the all-black colour scheme, although they opted to flash a bit of flesh and kept their legs bare.
However, several attendees did take the plunge and opt for a splash of colour, including Livia Firth who wore a dramatic red and white dress and Ruth Wilson who certainly stood out in the crowd in a hot pink dress over black trousers.
