Armstrong lands on fine for socks
American footballers are not normally associated with too many wardrobe malfunctions in their playing careers.

However, one Washington Redskins receiver has experienced just that, after struggling to find the zipper on his trousers after a kit change.

And that was just the start of an eventful game for Anthony Armstrong, who was also fined for wearing his socks too high.

Although the sports socks issue is something to forget, he will probably remember the match against Green Bay forever as he took a 48-yard pass to score the winning touchdown for his team - his first in the NFL.

Thigh-high socks aside, it must have been a great game for the new kid on the block.

Meanwhile, David Beckham recently hit the headlines for his choice of compression socks to aid recovery from an injury.
