Serial Florida criminal arrested for 'sock theft'
A serial criminal from the Port St Lucie, Florida, has been arrested for the 100th time on suspicion of stealing underwear.

Joseph Wilson allegedly stole pants and socks from a discount outlet store, but was eventually reprimanded shortly after attempting to run away from the scene of the crime and a security guard who challenged him.

The 50-year-old, who had previously been arrested 99 times, according to reports, faces charges of retail theft and resisting merchant charges.

According to the TC Palm, the police report indicates that Wilson had been found behind a fast food restaurant covered in sweat.

"Joseph said he was out jogging and was taking a break behind the dumpster because it's cool back there," he added.

Some 37 of Mr Wilson's arrests were related to felonies, 47 to misdemeanors and 15 others.

Of the 100 arrests there have been just 35 convictions.
