Black opaque tights are 'still hot'
A number of major fashion houses have turned their back on a certain item of clothing this time around on the catwalks, it seems.

However, all is not lost for fans of black opaque tights, according to Jess Cartner-Morley of the Guardian, while certain designers may be looking at the bare-legged look, there is always room in a drawer for such tights as they will always be practical.

She noted that Balenciaga was still able to revive black dotted-net tights which were "last fashionable in 1987", while Phillip Lim used lace tights under black sandals.

Still, Ms Cartner-Morley asserted: "Don't fret about black opaques not having much of a catwalk presence - just wear them ultra-thick and if anyone queries them, call them Teggings (half tights, half leggings)."

One other fashion commentator was inclined to agree with the view that tights will continue to be great this autumn and winter, with Staci Reynolds of the Examiner maintaining that pairing bold coloured tights with a solid black dress can help women look great and keep themselves warm.
