Socks nearly catch Arctic Monkey out
A Glastonbury appearance involving the Arctic Monkeys nearly ground to a halt after one of the band members had a diva moment over a pair of socks.

However, it was quite justified for Alex Turner, who told BBC6 Music last month that he was about to go on stage after milling around the notoriously muddy festival wearing the necessary wellies to get around.

He told the radio station: "Before Glastonbury I had a nightmare because I had a pair of white socks on because I'd had wellingtons on all day.

"Switched the wellies for the stage shoes and of course, the stage shoe being black, it was an awful juxtaposition with the white sock."

Alex recovered to perform in the end following the avoidance of a style only Michael Jackson ever seemed to pull off plausibly.

Last week, Arctic Moneys released Humbug, their latest album as well as a single from the collection titled Crying Lightning.
