A mannequin dressed as Colonel Gaddafi has been removed from outside a Sheffield joke shop after police failed to see the funny side, the Daily Mail reports.
The mock-Gaddafi was dressed in bright pink tights
, a bullet belt and Arabic head coverings and was positioned holding a sign which read "you aint seen me right".
But, despite the owner of the party shop Peter Tooley claiming that it was meant as a light-hearted prank, the police have instructed him to remove it.
A police spokesman confirmed that two police community support officers told Mr Tooley to take the mannequin down, even though no complaints were made from the public.
Colonel Gaddafi's whereabouts are currently unknown, as the former Libyan leader went into hiding after the Libyan Transitional Council took control of the country.
