Former conjoined twins Rital and Ritag Gaboura are recovering after a miraculous operation successfully separated them.
The little girls have been photographed looking overjoyed snuggled up together in matching pink dresses and brown wool tights
, as their parents could hardly contain their excitement.
Parents Dr Abdelmajeed Gaboura and his wife Enas have praised Great Ormond Street Hospital in London for the life-saving procedure from which few children survive.
Ritag and Rital were flown over from Sudan by the hospital's charity and were subjected to a 13-hour operation to separate them.
The girls were born with a rare condition which meant that their heads were fused together and blood was pumped through both of their bodies. An operation was necessary to ensure that they could both lead normal lives and be free of serious health problems.
