SockShop recommends – tights for the party season

House decorated? Christmas presents bought? Turkey on order? Great! It means you can now focus on the important things, namely, what to wear to all those fabulous parties – especially the biggy, New Year’s Eve!

So if you’re digging out your trusty LBD from the back of the wardrobe and want to jazz it up, or have a brand new dress that you don’t want to go bare-legged in, then we can help.

Our designer Kim has rifled through the tights collections available at SockShop and selected her top picks for the party season.

Charnos Floral Spray Tights

Kim says: “What’s NYE without a bit of sparkle?! The flower pattern on these Charnos tights makes them light, but the glitter adds a subtle shimmer which will take your outfit to the next level of glamour.”

Elle Stars Opaque Tights

Kim says: “I love these new tights by Elle! They’re a quirky take on a traditional patterned style, and are eye-catching without being too ‘in your face’. They’re fully woven too, so will help you keep warm when you travel from party to party!”

Jonathan Aston Vegas Tights

Kim says: “If you’re going for an elegant, sexy outfit, then these Jonathan Aston tights are the perfect choice. The back seam adds a vintage touch, while the pen motif is clever and fun detail.”

Falke Soft Merino Wool Tights

Kim says: “Will you be outdoors waiting for the fabulous fireworks to start on NYE? If so, then staying warm while keeping it stylish is key! These Falke tights are soft, warm and comfortable, so will help keep the chill off while you count down to the new year. I would recommend getting them in Merlot, as the dash of colour will add variety to your outfit, but will be in keeping to the warm, autumnal colours that are on-trend right now.”

I hope that helps with any tights dilemmas people might be having! All that’s left for me to do is wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year :)
