GOTs certification means that the cotton used has been grown without the use of damaging insecticides and pesticides, while also guaranteeing that the socks have been produced in a factory that pays living wages to workers, treating them with respect at all times. The decorated gift box is designed to be kept and reused, made using FSC card and vegan glue.
Organic cotton at high percentage persuaded me to buy, also from ethical suppliers Thought. However I was disappointed to find that the socks were made in China rather than Europe. I live in a place that used to manufacture hosiery and am sad we have to buy from China with their dubious working practices. If it had been clear on the website that they were made in China I would have chosen differently.
