The inner terry loop cushioning has been brushed into soft clouds of fibre, and besides making these women's’ boot socks softer next to the skin, the brushed lining makes the socks warmer!
This is because the brushing of the pile increases the socks’ thermal abilities, maximising the body’s warmth by holding more of that warmth in between the extra fibres brushing creates, but without reducing their breathability, so feet don’t get all sweaty. One of the welded toe seams not finished so there's a hole. Company wont take one pair back it has to be the pack. They didn't exchange sent a refund for the socks only so it cost me £2.95 delivery charge for nothing.
