I love buying British goods, but as they often cost a tad more, I like to know I am getting real quality, so I did a little test. I bought five pairs of these for work and wore only those five pairs every single work day to see how long it took them to ware out (I did of course make sure my tails were always trimmed to give a fair trial). I also did the test on cheap made in china socks. The results were that with the made in china socks, I got 4 months before all of them were showing obvious ware that made them unsuitable for wearing with my suit in the toes, sole and around the Achilles tendon where the shoe rubs. One the other hand, I've been wearing these British made socks for 10 months now and only a single sock - not a pair - has started to get the beginnings of a hole in the Achilles tendon area. On top of that they are much more comfortable and I am a huge fan of the non elastic cuff feature. I haven't finished the test as not all the socks have become unwearable yet, but do the maths and you can easily see that these are a solid investment if you are looking for long lasting socks that are comfortable.
