Socks we’re fab for our mum with oedema

Although my feet are swollen I found these Oedema wide socks a bit on the big side Nevertheless I am able to wear them.

Exactly what I needed was available. Good quality.

These are life savers but have one flaw: little (very little) lumps of black fabric/fluff drop off as I walk around the house. I have to wash the socks in a narrow-mesh bag because of this shedding problem. Other than that, I couldn't be happier. They hold up and are very comfortable.

They would not hold up...

Ideal for me to wear because. I needed some lightweight socks that grip my feet & legs gently. Will invest in a different colour now. They wash well.

These loose and wide sock for legs with oedema swelling are not for me. They were just too big for me but I can see they would be good for people with severe oedema. Also I found the yarn was too rough on my damaged and delicate skin. There were too many loose ends on the inside of the socks, so I returned them except for the pair I had tried on, more's the pity I couldn't get a refund for them. I also felt they were too expensive for what they are.

I've searched lots of places for socks wide enough for my poor Mum's swollen legs and these, by far, are the best I've found. Beautifully soft, colours other than black, brown or beige and so far, they have washed well in a 30° machine wash. A bit pricey, but I guess these types of thing mostly are. But would recommend them.

These socks were purchased for my elderly Mother and she is very happy with them. She says they have plenty of stretch and were comfortable.
