I bought these in the hope that my daughter would wear them as she struggles with any sock that has threads on the seams. The fact that they were made from bamboo just seemed like a plus. That being said these are now the only socks my child will wear. She finds them so much more comfortable with the material as well. What came as even more of a surprise is that my wife has switched over to these as well saying that she didn't realise how much normal socks bother her.
