Many people are affected by fluid retention and swelling of the legs. Our IOMI FootNurse Oedema Extra Wide Cotton Socks are specially designed to help those conditions by being able to gently stretch to fit to the exact contours of your legs and feet, without causing pressure or restriction.
Our soft and cotton rich extra wide socks can expand to a maximum leg circumference of 30 inches (76 cm). This is due to a loose knit weave that adjusts gently, without causing unwanted constriction for sensitive, swollen legs. Made in Britain to high standards, these foot-and-leg-kind IOMI FootNurse socks have also been produced with flat, Smooth Linked toes for smooth seams to prevent the rubbing and irritation that can cause blisters.
Oedema is the medical term for fluid retention. These socks can also help with lymphoedema (chronic swelling caused by the lymphatic system not draining properly) and other size-related conditions of the legs, ankles and feet.

Actually I bought two pairs, not one. I bought men's socks because the women's socks only go to size 7 and I wanted 8. Forgot that the calf width would be too much so I have socks wrinkled like Norah Batty's stockings! Speak to an older person if you don't understand the allusion, it's an age thing! Otherwise the foot part is fine, I can actually wear a pair of shoes to go out in.

Ideal for the purpose
For my elderly father who has very swollen feet and legs, and at last he has socks which are warm, though not too thick so he can't get his shoes on! They are a good length over the calf. They don't 'dig in' and leave marks. They stay put. And they actually fit over his broad feet and legs. All these attributes were lacking in every single pair of socks previously purchased elsewhere. I am about to order some more!

Purchased this product for my husband to try for his water retention in his ankles whilst travelling. THey are actually too big for him as his legs do not swell to this extent, But we are impressed by the quality.
