Always buy bridgdales. Good price and last much longer

Really great socks for day-to-day walking. I've been buying these for years, and generally retire and replace them as they wear out. They don't wear out quickly despite very regular wear and washing, and are very comfortable and resilient to the daily rigours of walking 5-8 miles. The Sock Shop is an excellent source - their prices are fair, and their delivery quick and efficient. I was a pair short in my latest order for some reason, and they despatched the missing pair quickly and without question when I contacted them - excellent customer service which stands out in a retail environment where it can't be taken for granted any more.

My first outing wearing the socks was a 15 mile hike on trail and fields. I could defiantly feel a cushioning underfoot even though I would regard the socks as a summer/spring sock and therefore not thick or heavy. Very comfortable socks, by far the best walking sock I have ever have.
